Get a Glimpse into Your Soul's Journey with a Jyotish Reading

Updated: Feb 13, 2022

As many of you know, I have been seeing clients in the capacity of a therapist for almost 30 years. I have heard thousands of stories and I’ve gotten used to people sharing their whole life’s journey with me right off the bat.

It's a deep honor when someone shares their story with me and I don’t take it lightly. I know it can be vulnerable to share, so I wanted to write this to assure you that when you work with me, everything you share is confidential and you will be treated with the utmost respect and compassion.

I recently added Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) readings to my offerings. They are such an amazing way to gain clarity and understanding of what is happening in one's life. When I see a client's chart, I can see their gifts and their challenges; and from there, offer supportive practices to enliven the gifts and meet the challenges with more ease.

How is this possible? Vedic astrology (also called Jyotish) is a science, the science of light to be specific.

From the time, place and location of your birth we create a chart - a snapshot of the celestial sphere (planets and stars) at the exact time of your birth - a blueprint, so to speak, of your soul's journey.

The celestial sphere is divided into parts called Bhavas (or houses), which represent different areas of life and the soul's journey through time. These houses are ruled by specific star constellations (virgo, aries, scorpio, etc). Depending on what day, time and place that you were born determines which star cluster is in which house. Planets are distributed throughout your chart and the planets we look at are:S aturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury; the Sun, the Moon and the two shadow planets Rahu and Ketu. During your reading, I will explain the impact of all of this as well as tell you your sun sign, moon sign, ascendant, which planets are in which houses - and what energy is "up" for you in the current times. The reading is not just a "recipe" however - it's not a computer generated formula - I make the charts myself and spend about 2-3 hours looking at each piece and then looking at the whole. When we meet I also integrate my intuition to bring you the greatest insight possible.

Why am I incorproating Vedic Astrology NOW?

I have always wanted to do Jyotish readings and when the opportunity to take an in-depth course arose this past year, I took it! My course was with Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, India - the place I have been traveling to for the last 8 years. This course was the culmination of everything that I have been learning and it all came together in such a beautiful way.

A reading isn’t a prediction, however. I don’t believe that anything is ever “fixed” or “for sure.” Knowing your chart is a way for you to understand what has happened in your life, and what is happening in your life right now - Is it a time to move and expand? Or is it a time to go inward and heal? When you understand what is happening energetically you can move with the current (more ease) rather than against it,

Jyotish is an actual science, and what is so cool and what always amazes me is that I can see certain things about a person from their chart, such as their gifts, their challenges; and based on those aspects, I love to offer tools, like customized sadhanas, meditations or kriya practices, to help them refine the energy within themself.

Yoga, as a whole, is a science and vedic astrology is just one piece of the puzzle. And like I metioned earlier, intuition is a big piece - I have always been intuitive (and you have too, whether or not you know it). My intution isn't in images or words, but rather a deep "knowng" of things and being able to "feel" what is happening underneath the surface - and I have found that reading someone’s chart is just another way to "see" and confirm my intuition and yours!

So if you're going through a transiton, needing guidance or just curious as to what's next for you, consider booking a reading with me. I'd love to meet with you and support you on your journey.
